Cannot Install Google Earth

Hi Guys,I am running XP SP2,and all of a sudden can't install Google Earth.Have done previous with no probs.
In Add and Remove it shows I have Windows installer 3.1 (KB893803) installed,but no file size on R/H/S.
I get this message when I try to install Google Earth.Any replies could you Please explain clearly. Thanks in advance. :thumbsup:

you should add more detail. So you are not in safe mode? And maybe try reinstalling it. I have Sp3 release candidate 2 and I can still install things :thumbsup:

Thanks.I am in normal mode.Tried reinstalling Google Earth 4 times,same message.Downloaded windows installer V2 also no difference.

Also can't install Windows live messenger,after many tries.I get this message every time.This is only a recent problem as I have had both programs before with no probs installing whatsoever.Also got an error code 1601.
