This will only work on 2000 or XP machines

first back up the registry

Then copy and paste this into notepad . Save it as WHatever.reg
double click the whatever.reg file . right click on any file you would like to delete.
you will now notice delete on reboot in the right click menu

CODE
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell\Delete on reboot\command]
@="CMD /E:OFF /C REG ADD HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\Currentversion\\RunOnce /v \"Del %1 OnNextReboot\" /d ^\"cmd.exe /c DEL /F /Q \\\"%1\\\"\" /f\""

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell\Open]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell\Delete on reboot\command]
@="CMD /E:OFF /C REG ADD HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\Currentversion\\RunOnce /v \"Del %1 OnNextReboot\" /d ^\"cmd.exe /c RD /S /Q \\\"%1\\\"\" /f\""

It adds a delete on reboot in the right click menu

So if you have stubborn file or folder that doesnt want to delete

it will delete for you the next time you reboot.

You just right click on the file you want deleted then click delete on reboot

save it to your desktop then double click it and let it merge with your registry

remember to always back up your registry before editing it

You can delete the file after that

Another word of caution here. Be completely sure of what the file is you want to delete and what it does before you use this method to delete. There's no easy way to back out of deleting a file once you have selected that option. And you're not going to have a backup file if you want it back unless you make one yourself.
