Help
I installed call of duty 2 on windows vista and when i try to start it it says Directx® has an unrecoverable error. does cod 2 not work with vista? what is going on? any help is appreciated.

hi,,,, cod2 should play,,,, go to microsoft site and download DirectX9 then give it a go,,,, worked for me on a few games that were borderline vista compat,,,,, good luck

could u give me the link to the download page cause none was of directx 9 download say anything about being compatible with vista

i dowloaded directx and installed it and it still says the same thing

hmm,,,, some of these games are hit and miss on vista,, some work and some dont,,, i have sniper elite, ghost recon, rainbow 6 vages, splinter call chaos theory ,,, all these are not suppose to be vista compat but play great on my pc,, yet rainbow 6 lockdown & splinter cell double agent dont,,,, go figure,,,, good luck
