Laptop Boots Slow When Connected To Network

One of our laptops at work boots very slowly when connected to our internet. When I disconnect the network cable, it boots twice as fast. I only have one profile on it, not a docked and undocked, used to but got rid of them and it made no difference. Any suggestions would be great. thanks so much.
CORRECTION - LAPTOP BOOTS SLOW ALL THE TIME. I have reinstalled Windows XP and it is still very slow. Any help would be appreciatedl

Hi, do you know the specs of the Lappy? e.g. make, model, ram, ect.
