Hi,
My computer switches off by itself each time Im burning a DVD. I have two different DVD burners I the problem happens with both of then. Only recently this problem started happening. I am suspecting the power supply, but I wanted to get some help from the forum before I go out and buy a new P/S.
I've noticed in the Bios that the temperature of my CPU is about 72celsius which looks a bit high. Any help is appreciated.
Thngs,
Gabriel-dan

Hi gabriel-dan, and welcome to BleepingComputer.

Does this only happen when you use the two drives at the same time?

How big is the PSU?

Have you looked inside the case to see if you have a build up of dust, especially in the heat sink and fan assembly on the CPU?

If the CPU is running at 72Celcius, that is very high. Open up your box and look for dust. IF there is any, use this guide here to clean out the dust from your computer.

Regards,
David.
