My speakers are crackling like crazy. Actually its more of the right (?) one that is. I run my pc thru a compact stereo on my desk and it works great for cd/radio. It's just the pc (*aux) thats giving me fits. It will crackle while playing or even just sitting there with volume up with nothing playing. I've looked at countless settings and found nothing as well as my connections.

My audio card is a creative audigy 2 Zs.

Any help would be great

Thanks!

This usually is due to a bad connection.

I have exactly the same problem with the same card!! (Audigy 2 ZS)
If you disable the card the crackling stops (along with any other sound) so it's not ant connections.
If I do a system restore to about 3 weeks ago, the crackling stops....for a short while, then it gradually comes back to an unbareable crackling sound.
I wandered if going to sp3 would help but last time I tried that it messed up my Media centre..
