Important Announcement: We have two terrific contests running on the site that I wanted all our members and guests to know about.

The first contest is the HP Magic Giveaway, which is underway as of November 28th. More information can be found at this topic, which will be updated very soon with further information.

The second contests, is for the chance to win two Seagate FreeAgent external hard drives. More information about this contest can be found here.

Whenever I start my PC a window pops up saying: Windows explorer ceased to function, a few seconds later another window appears saying: Windows Explorer is restarting, then all the icons on the desktop, the menu bar and the mouse pointer flicker and any windows I had opened disappear. Then the whole process starts again...over and over. This is so fast I can't even open the start menu to shut down the computer properly.
Starting on Safe Mode is no good, the same thing happens. Only by opening n E-explorer window can I get more time.

I tried to follow the Preparation Guide For Use Before Posting A Hijackthis Log, but several things went wrong: I couldn't install AdAware, SDFix or either of the two recommended firewalls or SpyBot, and my Panda antivirus can't start. I'm really sorry about this, I know it makes your job much harder but hopefully someone can tell me what's going on.
