Versions 5.02 and 5.04 for windows are the console versions. Which are more customizable. However, the only probme I had with it was that I would always be folding some good time. Like maybe a week or so. I just went back to 5.03

the only way I could recommend pausing the console would be to reinstall it.

When you first setup the console make it save it's progress every 3 minutes instead of every 15 minutes.

Then just close our of it, when you need a break, or a pause.

I hope I'm not treading on anyones toes, but if you check this section of the forum you will find a
thread titled 'Berkeley Open Infrastructure For Networked Computing'.

It is a very similar set-up to Folding@Home, but it covers more and different projects.
If you would like any more details, try 'Googling' BOINC
or, better still, visit BOINCUK / Team Lookers where you will
find lots more information on the different BOINC projects as well as an active forum.

We currently have only 4 active members. Anybody else want to help a good cause, and it's free!

A little tid bit of why I run F@H: Hopefully in the future (by the time I have grandkids) the diseases this program helps to find cures for will help my grandchild or my future generations or even possibly me. You never know when it could come back to help.

I just downloaded F@H and Electron Microscope. This is a great idea! I finally have a use for my computer during the hours and hours it just sits idle. I joined team 38444 and I'm now waiting for my first frame to complete (in 2 minutes)

Hi Guys N Gals

Could someone please do something to expand out the heading of this forum. As it is, it tells browsers absolutely nothing about the subject and is subsequently totally overlooked.

I know it took me months to get around to reading it because there was nothing to indicate the subject matter, and I'm positive a lot of the good folks here would support this cause wholeheartedly if they knew what this was all about.

Can this be done?????

Cheers

Yes we should get a mod to edit the "sub topic" to briefly describe what "folding" is.

Or maybe a new thread should be started, providing basic but important facts about Folding so more BC members can get involved.
It really is an amazing project that touches many of us in one way or another.

Per your excellent suggestions I have modified the title to better reflect the subject of this thread. Thank you for your ideas. I hope you like the new title better.
