*KoanYorel thinks Koan cheats with some dual core systems?

And a little BC birdies said he's building a couple more. Get back Yano!

Besides that it appears the "Deadinside" is on a break just now,
and the Yoda is just warming up his systems.

It's the Yano with his six systems causing global warming that we have to chase down and cool off?

I think the YANO has conscripted his father/mother/brothers/sisters/and great grand Uncle's PCs to the cause. LOL. Good thinking, wish I had a few more relatives.

Actually I install them on a few of my friends machines. I ask them, of course, before doing such. I let them know it's for a good cause, but I don't tell them about the points. I just enter my user name.

And in my house, I got my desktop, my laptop and my mom's computer running it 24/7.

EDIT:

*yano thinks that he should invest some money in a quad-core.

to rowal, the way they get the higher points per WU is by allowing the greater than 5MB recipients. It takes longer but generates more points.

Yano.

See, I had it figured. I didn't realise that the 5MB option was on the connection Tab though. Cheers

teehee....all I'm gunna say I love my sisters new laptop:
Dell Inspiron 1505
Intel® Core™ DUO T2350 (1.86GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 533MHz FSB)
Genuine Windows Vista™ Home Premium
1GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz, 2 Dimm
Size: 120GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM)

....mwahhhaah!!!

AND, I finally figured out how to properly overclock my desktop, so now instead of it being at 2.01Hz it's now at 2.43GHz.
and my dedicated is still only a 800Mhz PIII :trumpet:

EDIT: Anyone wanna chip for 8-cores? :flowers:

Omg. They already have 8-cores. Good gosh!

Why invest a punny little 8-core mac?

I'll just buy 3-playstation3's. Muhaha they each have six-3.2GHz processors to be used my applications (the other 2 are just there for security and such). I'll take on the whole folding@home community.

In actuality, when the firmware update for the playstation3 came out. Within a month all the playstation3's did more work than the rest of the community combined.

Rendering farms use several processor cores to make 3-D animiation and CGI (computer generated images think matrix). Although with 80 cores you could do some prety cool CGI.

Put a couple of 80-cores to good use and have a Folding@Home farm.

With a few 80 cores we could beat the Google team in a year or so. LOL
