madman6510: Overclock your CPU . Otherwise, that's just how it goes, it'll take some time, but after the first one, youll get used to it.

You would have to have a BIOS that would support increasing the voltage and the FSB (Front Side Bus) of your computer. I would NOT recommend anybody who has never before done it, to attempt it. It can damage your CPU, if you don't know what you are doing. And it can overheat your computer.

You will all overtake me,if this keeps up.Have another 4000 WU shocker.Last 4000 WU took 6 days + to complete.I do 5000's in about 48-52 hrs,yet these 4000's are giving me even more grey hair. With 5000's the frame rate is around 50 Sec.This one is 2mins 13 sec a frame. Can't work it out. :flowers:

Yes. It is a bit hard to follow. I am doing 2 4000's at the moment. The desktop is taking 51secs, but the laptop is taking 1:58. Have ordered another 512MB RAM for the laptop so hopefully that will speed it up a bit.

To be honest, I just have F@H run like my firewall guard. It starts with windows and closes with windows. I often leave my pc on til 3 am for it to continue to run, but thats about the closest I do for pushing my folding time. I have no clue about my folding rate and I have done heaps of 250 units and stuff, but dont seem to get anywhere. I dont really care anyway. Its the folding that counts for me, not if I stick on KYs feet trying to keep up with his humungous folding units  .

May the folding be with you...back to work now :flowers:
