Thanks all.

First WU was 5,000 and should be done Monday night.
Second WU is 250,000! Might finish this week?
The only easy day was yesterday.

Ayup. 250,000 frames.

Does Standford read one's system and look at it's abilities/capabilities to process certain items?

I D/L'd that item onto a new laptop that I acquired for my pending "walk about".

Tosiba Satellite P105-S6167 Laptop
Windows Vista Home Premium
Intel Pentium dual-core processor T2060
2048MB DDR2 SDRAM
120GB HDD
(Over clocked by 10%)

The 5,000 unit is on a Custom system with 2gig ram but an older processor.

I have a real shocker, I'm Folding at present.Only 1500 Frames and estimated time around 72 hrs.
Just over 1000 frames completed in 48hrs and it says still 25hrs to complete the WU.
I have finished a 5000 framer in 48 hrs.

Can't answer your question,'Koan Yorel'.Don't know.

Mine all seem to be 5 000 000, done in chunks of 5000 which each take about 35 minutes.

The maths doesn't make sense as each unit is completed in 100 steps???

If anyone wants really indepth statistics you can check this page here:

http://kakaostats.com/t.php?t=38444

Also I found out if you run the command line version if Folding@Home, it seems to run faster. I seem to pump out a WU a day on my Desktop. However, I haven't found out if it is because I am running Ubuntu instead of XP. Could be a big contributor?

Edit: Glad to have you aboard KY!

Wow thanks for the site yano. Since F@H stats have been down so much recently that really helps. however I think I'll pass the Australian Fox a little sooner then it predicts.

I'm laughing here. I finished one little WU of 5,000 and jumped way up in the standings? 502293 of 703422 on Tue May 1 12:00:00 UTC 2007

I can't wait to see what happens after the Toshi spits out that 250,000 unit later tonight.

Thanks Yano - that is a nice graphical link.

I've become intrigued by the methods behind the madness of WU assignments now.

After finishing that 250,000 unit I'm ranked 352325 of 703860;
and received another 250,000 WU to replace it on the Lappy.

I'm running at 95% near full time on both systems with little apparent interference. I do turn them up to 100% when not working my systems.

Now, I'm wondering what might happen if I boosted the RAM in both these little units.

Aside: I'm looking around at the junk systems in my storage awaiting rehab - wondering again.

Ah yes the Laptop...........lets just say that its not going so well. It takes 3 weeks to finish a 5000 frame WU and will probably have to come down as soon as we figure out how to get wireless on Yoda's Lappy because Windows is much too space consuming for it. But I agree Anything for the cause.

KY word of advice avoid P3's as they are not very good at folding (take forever and a day to finish small WU's)

God F@H is at war with me. Not only did it kill itself yesterday and shows a wrong WU count due to a reinstall and stuff. It also decided to start my 125 frame unit all over again, although i was already at like 95 grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Why not P3? I am using a P2 333Mhz and it works fine. As long as it helps people out I do not care how long it takes.
