Thank you!

In reality, it doesn't truly matter 'who' gets credit for it as long as it's useful to Folding in general - just so happy the first one is completed. (It's now working away on another '5000' one ... and again, I've checked that our team number is still displayed).

Thanks for the wonderful support and encouragement - all of you are truly incredible! Huge gentle hugs!
Never let your computer realize you are in a hurry or just typing the last few words of a vital document.

While outer events might make one happy or sad, happiness itself is entirely internal, and at all times completely within one's power.

Just checking MaraM......

When you entered the BC team number, did you click the Okay button?

Just thought of something.
Right click on your Folding Icon/Status then left click on My Folding.
That will tell you what team you are now registered with.
Chaos reigns within.
Reflect, repent, and reboot.
Order shall return.

Thanks for the easy to follow instructions, TMack --- did it, and everything looks fine as the team number shows up, as per in the below link.

file:///C:/Program%20Files%20-%20Games%20and%20oddities/MyFolding.html

Did remember to turn it down to a lower level while working on photo restoration, etc, as that uses masses of power on it's own - but trying to remember to move level back to higher position when the computer will be sitting idle. But have to laugh at myself because regarding the graphic that one can watch - the 'blobs' all growing and changing? - it reminds me of a cancer cell - says something about me but I'm not sure what.

Perfect!
After all you've been thru to get things running, we want to make sure everything is where it should be.

Ditto on thinking it looks like the cancer cell thing...is very neat to watch.

I too do not leave my PC on 24/7.Maybe 18 hrs a day at the most.I see that you want to make it interesting. I think that this is not a competition, but a very serious and worthwhile cause.I will be there for the long haul,as I am sure you will be too.The satisfaction to me is that I am helping find a cure for these terrible Diseases that affect so many people in our society.I would hope that many more Members come on board.Once set initially,Folding is a breeze. It just works away in the background.I am saying this, not for the members that are Folding, but for any potential Members that are thinking of joining.
I personally think Folding is a confusing name,as I looked at the name initially, and for 6months or so didn't realise what it was all about.Distributed Computing At Its Best, should be left our of the Title because to me anyway, being a Newbie was confusing.I didn't have a clue what this meant and because of this didn't bother looking into it any further.Trying to make this a race will not give the Members that have just joined much heart as they can never catch up.Everyone doing their little bit is more important.Just my Opinion.

Agreed DSTM, as I've mentioned earlier, I just let it run. I don't alter it much and I shut down my PC. Except proolly weekends as I getting info from other countries while I'm not on. Happy with my results at a constant pace. So agreed that anyone wants to fold just set it up,maybe iron a wrinkle out and let it go. You're helping someone's life. That's the reward for me.

Thanks to the team for all your efforts (hugs)

The Comment was meant to lighten the mood of the conversation in this topic. It's one of the reasons why there is a team/global stat board. It makes everyone try a little bit harder (not that we wouldnt if it wasn't there). Having fun and helping out a great cause in what we are doing and feel great that we're doing something is the real return.

Does anyone else notice that the fewer frames the longer it takes to complete a frame?
50000 @ 7 secs/frame
5000 @ 50-60 secs/frame
2000 @ 1min 40-50 secs/frame

Just curious.

I am finding the 5000 Frames and 2000 Frames seem to be taking longer, time wise in comparison, than say the 40000 initial frame.
The 40000 Frame took about 4 Days Plus to complete, and yet these 5000 Frames are taking around 2 full Days Plus to complete.Doesn't really worry me.

At first, when I completed the protein with more frames @ a lower speed than the protein with less frames, I thought I did something wrong. But it seems to be the norm that the proteins with less frames use a lower speed? :flowers:
Thanks for the reply DSTM.
I had screwed up a protein earlier and lost it, so I was just wondering if this was one of the after effects. Glad to know it doesn't seem like it.
