This has been mentioned several times before, but rightclicking on the gear icon>configure>advanced and moving the checkpointing slider all the way to the left will save your progress each 3 minutes so you should lose very little data if anything happens. It should just take off again from that point when your machine restarts.

Cheers all.

Here is another tip if for some reason it is taking a long time for a few folds to compute and you get

Posted Image

You get the "timing estimate," it's normal for it to be there when you first open it... but if it stays like that for more than 20minutes or so, then restart the application and you can get this: (where you get the estimate).

I'm trying to remember,Fozzie.I know the first WU was 40,000,and I think about 4 or 5 days. After which your user name appears on the Member list.
What was the size of other Members first WU,under 5.03?
Or does everybody start with a 40,000 WU?

EDIT.I think this is a great way for us to help find Cures for terrible Diseases, that can inflict upon us.
If I had multiple Computers, like a lot of Members have,I would have them all "A-SMOKIN"

Welcome to the Team fozzie...Rock n Fold
I can't remember the first one but a couple of days to a week seems avg. Depends a lot on WU size 5000-50000 and time PC is on and the rate running at the top of config screen.
How do I get help? Who is helping me?

Great to have you on the Bleeping Computer Team fozzie!

Work progress is quickest when the CPU Useage slider bar is set to 100%.
Sometime I change it to 50% for a day or two, just to give my computer a little rest. :flowers:

BTW, a 50000 frame takes me a couple/three of days going 24/7 at 100%.
