My first one has a WU of 500, and it will take about 24 hours to complete.
Also, I got this from the readme file, in case it may apply to some users here: KNOWN PROBLEMS: (1) Problem: Full screen mode on some Voodoo cards can cause crashes under windows 98*Grinler Suggestion: Run the console version, or don't go full screen -------------------- We are all curious like a cat. Yes Jeservices I would not recomend the full screen to anyone. What I do is let it start and close it on the screen. I would turn off my screensaver as that is when alot heat get genrated and startes using alot of your cpu.

Woo Hoo I finished 2 of them...a 500 and 250. It d/l my next one at 10000. I had to look at it several times to see if that was really accurate lol. Lets see, if it took 24 hours to finish a 500, then this one is going to take 20 days!?!?!

Thanks for the information on that. You are right, it does not take nearly as long. Already at 43% complete. Thanks for the cert.

Hey, this is great to see you guys have a folding team here. As a member of Team Helix, I welcome all of you to the fun, Folding gets addictive.
The one thing I would recommend, use the console client as opposed to the graphical client. The console client puts more power to folding and doesn't eat up any cycles creating the graphics. It is also more stable. -------------------- |

Does the graphical client creat graphics when there is no display window? Is the difference in folding power great enough that should switch?

not really the graphical client just shows up if you double click the icon. If you dont want to see the client just close it if it is showing up on your dekstp.

Thanks for the tip about the console client, Iceman. If I read the FAQ's correctly, people on dialup have no choice but to use the console anyway. Is that correct, guys?
Any tips for running a machine with multiple logons? -------------------- You know everybody is ignorant, only on different subjects.
