I've designed a web page for our church and almost have it complete. I utilized a map from IGoogle for our location. In Firefox it draws perfectly and when you choose to go to an enlarged map it works great. In IE7 I am getting red x's for the small map and when I select to go to the larger map I am getting a myriad of red x's. Does anyone know what setting I need to change to make it work properly.

I have a HP Vista Home Premium laptop and it draws perfectly on the laptop. I checked my IE7 settings and they are exactly the same.

Here is a link to the site: http://www.fbcarmi.com When at the site, select the tab for location.

Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions!!

Until someone with more knowledge about this comes around....

Go to Start and type in "iexplore.exe -extoff" (without the quotes) and press Enter. This will launch IE7 with the addons disabled. If you can see the map then, then it's one of the addons that's causing it.

Or, you can try this: http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2006/06/12/628499.aspx

Hello JazzMahn,

I'm using Internet Explorer 7 on Windows XP Professional SP2, with all Microsoft updates installed. The display problems you describe don't appear here -- everything looks fine:

This may be of some help:

Just tried what John suggested (turning off the IE Add Ons. Didn't make a difference. I've already tried the IE7 reset. Didn't help. I am looking at the box where I'm typing this reply and all of the images have red x's. (Bold, Italic, Underline, etc.

If I go to this site in Firefox there are no red x's.

I have no idea what is going on. Thanks for your help. Anyone else that has dealt with this? I sure need some help. Thanks in advance.

We are going to reset IE7's settings. NOTE: This will lose your saved form passwords and such! If you ABSOLUTELY need this, than please advise me and do not continue:

Open IE7
Go to Tools -> Internet Options
Click the advanced tab
Click the Reset... button at the bottom of the window
READ the window! Understand that this operation will wipe your browser settings!
Press the Reset button
Press close
Press ok
Restart IE7 and try your page again.

Ok... sorry, hadn't seen you'd done the reset.

Do other images show ok?

Billy,

I'm using Firefox right now. Everything works perfect. I guess my real concern is that there are people that will view this web page that will see all the broken images (red x's) The site again is www.fbcarmi.com

Thank you for replying. I have worked so hard on this site. Now that I'm almost finished I am getting this error.

Thanks again.
