Important Announcement: We have two terrific contests running on the site that I wanted all our members and guests to know about.

The first contest is the HP Magic Giveaway, which is underway as of November 28th. More information can be found at this topic, which will be updated very soon with further information.

The second contests, is for the chance to win two Seagate FreeAgent external hard drives. More information about this contest can be found here.

These are both amazing contests and I suggest everyone submit an entry for them.

G'day Usama... I bought an ASUS Pro 31P Notebook with Vista pre-installed. I emailed Asus to see if I could install XP Pro instead but received no reply. Do you know if this particular machine can be 'downgraded'. I did find on their site a list of XP drivers for this model but what do I do with them and which ones do I use.. in other words is there a sequence of steps to follow... if you could point me in the direction (or to a website) i would appreciate... fraz

Here's a link that suggests 2 ways to install the drivers: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/blogs/usas...?showentry=1253

The most important thing is that the computer works the way that you want it to work - we can work through that step-by-step if needs be.
The next most important thing is to ensure that you've got the drivers that are listed in Device Manager (unless there's something that you don't want to use). It'll show you a red x or a yellow ! if the drivers aren't installed. From that we can attempt to locate the drivers - but first install the drivers from the Asus website in the order suggested in my link above.
