I have an old compaq 7000 series that I would like to be able to boot up again because I have vidios of my mom that I would like to share with my brothers and sisters. I brought it in for slow to operate repairs and the repair folks somehow destroyed it and I can no longer boot it up. I have windows 98 as my operating system.
Does anybody have any suggestiions.
Thanks
Bob

Did they give you a receipt saying what they did? If you paid them, take it back. How far along in the boot process does it go? The first thing I do with an old machine that's been stored for awhile is to replace the motherboard battery
