I just recently purchased a Playstation 3. I see you can use several different software to simulate DNLA software with transcoding so your playstation 3 can connect to your computer (ubuntu) and access your media. However, from the list I have found only 4 products do transcoding and one you have to pay for. The other 3 won't work or are command line and I can't get them to work properly. Anyone know of an easy to use DNAL server for Ubuntu?

everytime I do a google search for "playstation 3 ubuntu" I get instructions on how to install Ubuntu on the Playstation 3. sad.gif

Yep just figured it out a few nights ago. I was able to do it using Fuppes.

Also here is why my previous setup didn't work:

What I did do differently was connect my computer to my wireless router with a ethernet cable and then kept all the software settings the same with Fuppes.
