I have a very strage problem that I cant seem to figure out. I consider myself fairly knowledgeable and its driving me crazy that I can figure this out. I am running wireless in my apartment, it has worked fine with no problems for about 6 months. But now it seems I have an intermittin issue where it does not want to find any sites at all for about a minute then it goes back to running normal. I have done virus cans, spyware scans, I have my HJT log posted. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, almost forgot this also happens even when connected to the cable modem directly, I first thought it was the wireless router, but I guess its not. |

I have COX Cable . They came and replaced the run between the house and the pole because squirls were nibbling on the coax . The cable tech showed me where it was chewed . He said moisture was get in the line and degrading the signal . I'm not saying you have a squirl problem but you may have a damaged coax . I would lose signal for 8 to 12 hours . After he replace it I haven't had a problem . That's been 14 months ago . Also check your cable connection coming from the wall . Next time you can't connect try //192.168.100.1 . that is the status screen on the modem (atleast on mine) .
