BleepingComputer.com: Outlook Express Not Working

Running Windows XP on a home built system thathas little resources. I am only using it for email and looking up a few things using Google. Have enough hard drive space and seldom save anything to the disk other than updates which are done regulalary. I do run Symantec Virus progection.

I have had no problem with the computer until recently. The last few weeks I have not been able to get my email in Outlook Express without it freeaing. I can click on send and receive and it just freezes.

I've talked with my Internet Service Provider and have a work around where I can get my email but I like Outlook Express and want to continue using it. Called MS and after talking with their technician it was suggested that I install Outlook Express again.

I am running Internet Explorer 7 and it runs perfectly. Do I totally uninstall IE7 and then reinstall the entire Microsoft IE7 package again. Somehow the Outlook Express portion must have gotten corupted.

Thanks for any and all ideas on how I can correct this problem.
