BleepingComputer.com: Access Permissions For Pc On Network

Hey guys i recently setup a small network comprising of 8 pc's out of these 2 are not connected(crimpping left) and 6 are connected out of these to an 8 port dlink router....all 6 six are seen in the workgroup........4 can see each other in the workgroup (ie access hdd's or shared drives) and copy files and chat.................. but the remaning 2 out of 6 can see others and access hdd drives AND BE SEEN IN THE WORKGROUP and chat but others cant see the contents of the 2 pc's(i.e shared drives) by clicking on the pc name(access permission not granted) ...... when clicking on the computer name(out of the 2 pc's)i get an error which says the server hasnt gven access permissions to be accessed by this comp from which i am accessing i have tried everything but nothing seems to work my last option is to format some one help....the router shows an orange light for these 2 pc's and a green light for the remaining 4...wonder why...i tried connecting the same 2 pcs to a cable which works with another pc but the light is still orange seems to be a networking configuration issue cause i can ping the pc itself and all the other pc's

cud the problem be solved by connecting a new lan card ...though the lan card seems to be fine....


i know this is bit of a ramble jus extremely frustrated....i hope though tht some of the experts here can understand wat i am askin if not pls ask me to
