Hi there,
I have a Toshiba Satellite A75-S206 that came w/ 512 built-in RAM. I want to upgrade it to the max 1.5 GB so I have been looking for compatible 1GB upgrade.
Can anyone recommend a product for me or a resource to help guide me through this?
I was looking at Crucial, but am stumped at what is the difference between these 2 part #s:
- CT405629
- CT12864X335
I can't wait to boost this thing.
thank you,
Xander

Mark
why won't my laptop work?
Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around

If you follow the link you posted (which is where I began my search for more ram) you will see that it is part#CT405629 listed on the crucial site.
However, if you look elsewhere, you find the applicable product is part # CT12864X335:
newegg
Maybe it's all inconsequential in the end, but I wanted to get the best compatible part once and be done with it.... maybe I should just buy the cheaper PNY product and call it a day? Save a few bucks I suppose...
Any thoughts?
