I am just wanting to find a simple but good photo editing software. I would like to turn some of my photos into like black and white or antique them. The only photo things I have do not let me do that any tips? Maybe even if anyone knows any free ones especially.

Hi angelprincess. To review our chat conversation, try Irfranview. You can change photos to B&W by going to the Image menu item and choosing the Convert to Greyscale option.
I played around with "antiquing" and got some good results by going to the Options menu and selecting Enhance Colors (do this after you convert the image to greyscale). Depending on the effect you want adjust the Red level up and the Green and blue values down. You can actually get some nice results.
Cheers.
