Microsoft yanks Vista SP1 update causing endless reboots

QUOTE
Update has been pulled from Windows Update, but Microsoft has not yet produced a fix for users whose machines either won't boot or reboot constantly... Responding to reports of endlessly rebooting PCs that flooded support newsgroups last week, Microsoft said on Tuesday it had pulled an update designed to prep Windows Vista for Service Pack 1.

So typical of Microsoft.
And one wonders why so many people trust automatic updates.
Cheers,

Well, for one, most of them DO patch up your security. Although I don't see why they just continue testing their new OS until they're completely ready for the new world. Well, that's how they make money.
And also, before posting HJT logs, you suggest we have all the updates from Microsoft. I'm sure there's a reason for telling us to that that? wink.gif
Poor Vista users.

Luckily, my mom and brother, who both have Vista on their computers, didn't download the update.

Apparently it only reboots endlessly because of this certain program. Some people that don't have it, phew. Some that do... well, too bad. :\
