So I have started my first build, using the Raidmax Smilodon case and a gigabyte motherboard etc...my question is this:

The lead for the H.D.D. LED is supposed to be Red and White according to the manual with white being the ground. in reality, the wires are Black and Purple. Which one is the ground in this case? I am assuming black but only because red and purple are similar but I really have no idea! (none of the other wires were the right colors either, but at least they each had one white)

Thanks for any help you can give me

You can safely hook that LED up with either of the leads. If you have it wrong, just change them out. You shouldn't damage anything by hooking up the wrong wires as the voltage is very low.

Good luck.

LED's are one-way diodes. If it's backwards it won't light up

why won't my laptop work?

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
