When I download a page from the internet and want to put it in My Documents in a named folder I get another folder & internet icon for the page. Why do I get an extra folder with the same name as the internet explorer icon? I'm doing something wrong. I can put the icon in word pad and go back to documents and delete them both and the drag the internet explorer icon into My Documents. Then I can open that page the way I wanted to with the IE icon. Thanks in advance spidertom HP 2.08 ghz,256ram,80gb, Mod edit: moved post to a more appropriate forum. jgweed This post has been edited by jgweed: Mar 12 2005, 12:42 AM |

When you save a page with IE, it downloads the html as a page name, and makes a folder with the same name for all the images and other media that the html page uses.
When you drag the icon from ie into my documents you are not actually saving the page, just making a link to that page in your my documents folder -------------------- Lawrence

Hi spidertom,
If you wish to save the page as one file, select Save As --> Save As Type --> Web Archive, single file (.mht). -------------------- |
