i do not really get an error message.. except when i sign onto my service provider then i get a 404 error and it tells me to go to iis help... at microsoft.com.. of course that does not tell me anything so i downloaded the microsoft baseline security advisor and it tells me that the iis is not running when i click on how to fix it tells me that there are missing fixes??? but no way to fix.. can you point me in the right direction??

Well, to be honest, I have no clue what the IIS might be, but...I don't see it listed among my services and there's nothing wrong with my system.

I guess that I don't see the connection between IIS and home computing. Maybe someone will enlighten each of us .

Since this only occurs with your service provider, I'd suggest contacting their tech support for assistance in resolving this issue. IIS error 404 is a "Not Found" error - indicating that the web server couldn't find the information that your browser requested. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318380
