The thing i want to do is not build a budget computer even cheaper then budget i call twnmc (teen with no money computer)

so the plan is to make a computer with linux for under $200 us dollers sure this can be done but here is the catch the computer has to be descent by descent i mean cpu 2.0ghz or more most likely 2.0, ram at 1 gig,motherboard one with a few usb slots and a few upgrade options, power supply 500 watts, case a average black case ntohing special os linux(ubuntu) all this for $200 or dare i say less so can this be done or am i losing it :crazy:

i will strat my mission now by going over to tigerdirect and new egg and i will update later with cheap yet descent part i find. :thumbup2:

Let's see, a cheap 500 Watt power supply will run you about $20. Amd Sempron-$36. Motherboard-$50 (For the Sempron). 2 gigs ram, $50. IDE hard drive-$40. DVD player $15. That's $211, and we do not even have a case yet. Drop the memory back to one gig, and you are down tp $186, but still no case, and no shipping. The parts I priced all go together, and you would have a functioning system. Of course, you have no mouse, keyboard, and no monitor.

You would have a machine that you could use for email, internet, and not much more.
