Ok, i know this question would have had to been asked 100 times already but I'm gonna hit you with it again. My computer has a 16x slot in it, will http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...-_-NA-_-NA-_-NA work in it? and would i be able to squeak out enough power out of

Main View
Part Number: 6506087RBESTEC 300 Watt Power Supply

No graphic is available for the product.
The BESTEC 300 watt power supply features the following:

ATX-12V PSII form factor
Sleeve bearing fan
Remote on/off
+5V standby output at 2A for Suspend To RAM and PCI power management event support
No load operation

Not going SLi or anything obviously, but would be nice to not have to worry about frying my mobo with a bad power supply lol

Oh, and on a sidenote i find it really weird that the card i'm looking at happens to pop up as a coupon on your site lol

if you've got the power for it, it should work... also, by the way, if you're going to get it real soon, its on the newegg discount list thing...

A 300 watt PSU might be able to handle it, but it also depends how hot your PSU can take. I just read something the other night that bad power supplies may be 500 watt, but they decrease by like 7 watts per degree of temp.

Requirements
Minimum of a 400 Watt power supply.
(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 26 Amp Amps.)

Quote

An available 6 pin PCI-E power connector (hard drive power dongle to PCI-E 6 pin adapter included with card)

that vid card takes a lot of power, space and makes a lot of heat

Thanks guys, decided to go with a cheaper model lol. got a evga 8600 GT 512MB GDDR3, a 500W Thermaltake PSU and a PCI slot exhaust fan for even a lil less than the single card would have cost me. With eVGA's step up program and the fact that the most graphic intensive game i play atm is LOTRO i think i'll be fine till next tax season lol

Great choices  , you would have killed your E-Machine if you didn't upgrade your power supply.
