It's a very powerful tool and protection. But very dangerous.
Kind of like locking up the registry and losing the key.

I see. I will just try to uninstall it and install it again. Without checking the tea timer at installlation. Would it be a good solution?
I hope moderators can have tutorial of unstalling it. I tried to look in SD website and found that some registry item should be deleted. Which I am quite hesitant to do since I am not familiar to it.
It seems it is slowing down my computer having two resident scanner. I have a kaspersky and tea timer.
Anyways, thanks for the suggestion . It really help a lot.
Domou arigatou gozaimasu.
Thanks
Best regards.

I really like scanning and sd protection and immunization with spybot. TeaTimer was fine when I remembered to turn it off before installing programs or making system changes, it was a disaster if I forgot.

First step:
- Right-click the Spybot Icon in the System Tray (looks like a blue/white calendar with a padlock symbol)
- If you have the new version 1.5, Click once on Resident Protection, then Right click the Spybot icon again and make sure Resident Protection is now Unchecked. The Spybot icon in the System tray should now be now colorless.
- If you have Version 1.4, Click on Exit Spybot S&D Resident
- Open Spybot S&D
- Click Mode, choose Advanced Mode
- Go To the bottom of the Vertical Panel on the Left, Click Tools
- then, also in left panel, click Resident shows a red/white shield.
- If your firewall raises a question, say OK
- In the Resident protection status frame, Uncheck the box labeled Resident "Tea-Timer"(Protection of over-all system settings) active
- OK any prompts.
- Use File, Exit to terminate Spybot
- Reboot your machine for the changes to take effect.
