hope some one can help
i dont' know much about computers except using internet etc....
here's my problem

MESSAGE SU0013
if you have HPFS or NTFS you must create MS-DOS BOOT PARTITION, IF YOU HAVE LAWTANSTIC
server or superstar compression disable before running setup see setup.txt on setup disk1 or win98


this is what i get after trying to download the start up disk for the comp.
lady claims it crashed & she lost everything & gave it to me w/ disk (only win 98 disk)
any way

i hope someone can lead me in the right direction on what to do & i greatly appreciate any help

The disk she gave you, is it a windows disk or a Dell disk?
Where are you downloading the startup disk from? Best one to use is the ME bootdisk from
www.bootdisk.com

What kind of system is this? Make & model would help

I always install Windows 98 from the hard drive.
Need to know what kind of system we are dealing with here first.
Also what cd's you have and how they are labeled.
