First of all. Here is my build.
Motherboard: ASROCK 4CoreDual SATA2
Graphics Card - XFX nVidia GeForce 8600 GT OVERCLOCKED
Processor- Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2GHz E4500
RAM- OCZ Gold Edition 2GB DDR2 Dual Channel
DVD Drive - HL-DT-ST DVD RAM GSA-4163B
CD Drive- Pulled out of a Dell Dimension 4600 Series
Case - Apeiva X-Plorer Black (fan controller, LCD Temp display, front USB/ Firewire)
PSU- Ultra X-Connect UV 500W
So i bought these parts yesterday. I put the computer together and everything seems to be working, and its idleing at about 85F for heat. Whenever I'd try to install my Vista Ultimate X64, I'd get a blue screen, one was something about the Kernel. I got pretty mad after 4 attempts, so i installed XP (32Bit) in compatability mode since i'm running a 64bit processor. First time i installed it i got a BAD_POOL_HEADER BSOD, but the second time it worked and I'm on it now. Why am i getting BSOD's? Is it my hardware, or software or something in BIOS? Right now on XP i can't even get the Windows XP Luna Theme working, its only the one they had on 2000,98,95 etc. And yes, my graphics card drivers are installed. So if anyone could tell me what the heck I did wrong, or what's wrong, that would be great.
Thanks,
n0data
