Suddenly my firwall has started blocking uploads. For example I get send/receive error when using Outlook, yet when I use the setting "allow all" in the firewall i can send the message. Equally I use foxmarks with Firefox, it stops when trying to write to foxmarks yet when I change to "allow all" it works. Any suggestions? Hope you are keeping well, All the Best Bill Z Mod Edit: Topic moved to more appropriate forum~ TMacK This post has been edited by TMacK: Feb 7 2008, 11:28 PM |

I haven't used the Sygate firewall in quite some time - but as I recall it will log all blocking actions in it's interface. I'd suggest browsing around the interface to see what the logs say.

Dear usasma,
Thanks for the suggestion. I gave up with Sygate and turned to Zone Alarm because of this problem. I decided that Sygate was old and that was possibly why I was getting these problems. I reinstalled and clicked appropriately when the question box came up. The problem persisted. I didn't in fact check the logs. I gave up. Sorry to have wasted your time. Hope you are keeping well, All the Best Bill Z |

Not a problem Bill - I'm just glad that you found a way for it to work for you!
