I was trying to fix a different problem now I think I've completely mess up my Laptop. I can't complete my start up after a reboot. Everything seems to load fine then I get 2 error windows. They are RUNDLL windows that say they couldn't Run/ load these two files.
C:\user\name\AppData\Local\Temp\dshmyjee.dll
C:\user\name\AppData\Local\Temp\jkhhf.dll
I've done some research & it seems like they might be viruses. I tried looking for the files & delete them. I can not access Application Data folder where I believe the files exist. Whatever the error is, it seems to kill my Explorer. My Icons come up the taskbar & clock all come up then the screen flickers & everything disappears. I can see the cursor but everything is gone. I can get to the Task manager but I can not bring back Explorer. Does anyone have any ideas how the fix this. I REALLY need to be able to use that PC.
-In Vista how do you Boot from a backed up point. Maybe I can Boot up from a saved point a few days back?
-Is there such a thing as an emergency boot disk for Vista. Something that will make a clean boot up without deleting all my info like Emails etc..
Thanks!
