Need help with a couple things...

Forum Guidelines

Read this topic before posting a log.

DO NOT post a ComboFix log unless requested to.

Only members of the HijackThis Team or Moderators are allowed to help people with logs. Anyone else should refrain from posting to another user's log.

When posting a log please put the type of infection you have in the topic title. IE: Winfixer, Virtumonde, WinTools, WebSearch, Home Search Assistant, etc.

Do not bump your topic. We try to resolve logs on a first come/first served basis. By bumping your log you will be pushed back in line due to the new date of your bump.

Need help with a couple things..., sixtysix.exe and xvxrbr.exe...

New Member Group: Members Posts: 2 Joined: 9-March 05 Member No.: 13,974	I seem to ahve a problem. I ran a virus scan (Norton) and a spyware scan (Spy Sweeper) and the spyware scan came up with "sixtysix.exe" and "xvxrbr.exe". I found on this site that sixtysix.exe is a Trojan that lowers your IE security settings. I can't find anything on the other one. Regardless, I clicked to delete these two things from my computer and everytime I do they come back within 5 seconds. Can someone please help me get rid of these things for good? What do I need to do? Thank you.

Bleep Bleep! Group: Admin Posts: 29,873 Joined: 24-January 04 From: USA Member No.: 3	Create a directory on your hardrive to save HijackThis.exe. A directory like c:\hijackthis. If you do not do this, you will not be able to use the backup/restore features. Download HijackThis from: HijackThis Download Site Save this file into the directory you made previously and then run the program named hijackthis.exe. When the program opens click on the Config button, then click on the Misc Tools button, and click on the Check for update online button. When it completes checking/applying updates press the back button. Now click on the Scan button and when it is finished click on the Save Log button. A Notepad window will open with the contents of this log. Click on Edit then click on Select all. Then click on Edit and then Click on Copy. Create a reply to this post here and right click in message area and select paste to paste the log into the post. Someone will reply to you after reading this post. DO NOT fix any entries unless you understand what you are doing.
