I'm having a few different issues with my computer. I think a friend may have sent me a few or more viruses. I'm having problmes with Yahoo! Messnger, Internet Explorer, and I can no longer uninstall some of the programs on my computer. Please help! sad.gif

The first thing you should do is to thoroughly scan your hard drive with your anti-virus,preferably in safe mode.
If you have Spybot and Ad-Aware, update these and also have them scan your hard drive.
If these applications fail to solve your problem, the post a HijackThis! log to the HJT forum. Instructions are found here:

One thing you can do after the HJT team help debug your system is switch to Trillian Instant Messenger . It replaces ICQ , AOL , YIM , MSN & IRQ Chat clients . It takes very little resources compared to all the others running at once . And it does not advertise (no banners or popups).
If you are using XP also use MS AntiSpyware Beta1 . It WILL NOT work on ME or 98 .
AVG Free Edition is an excellent AntiVirus and the full verson is free . You will get tech support went you buy it .
