Java script problem :(

erm hi first of all i dont know if this is the right place to post this....sorry

Anyway i have the latest sun java thingy and u cant run any javascripts, any games and IE or any other browser just closes, if you go here with java working (like in my school) i get the drop down menus fine, at home i do not, therefore i have to go to site A-Z to get around... :flowers:

please help me, i do not know what else to say other than i ahve tries lowering my IE security settings and other browsers, is it secutiry setting related or some of the following stopping it?

I have norton NIS 2004, S&D 1.3 (tea timeris on), adaware 1.06 personal, MS beta anitspyware, spyware blaster...might have more, dunno

i dont know u mean the VM thing i might have but java scripts wont work at all, jave GAMES however do
any easy and quck way i can check what i have/havent installed?

Hi fdjc.. I had the same problem with Java try to disable AdWatch and have look if it helps..

dont have adwatch, just adware so no real time protection from it, thanks anyway

ok i removed it and have sun java installed but istill cant get the drop down menus to work on that liverpool website :thumbsup:
any thing else u know that might prevent it, like norton? or maybe i need to set up sun java in IE settings to?

Out of curiousity have checked your settings to make sure java or javascript are not disabled?

i have yes, as i said it is sort of enabeled as i can play java games however i cannot view java drop down menus and such, maybe its just that website i dont know, but it works fine in school
if somebody gave me a link to another site with javascript drop down menus i could see if that is the probelm, whether they work or not on it...

i went there and in middle of screen found nothing other tha a picture placement red X, i would post a print screen but dont know how to upload here at moment
