JUst wondering whether anyone else has come across this software.

It runs as a web application on a Windows XP\2003 machine, and provides you with a ticket based helpdesk facility, and scans your network to give you an inventory of all your network devices. For Windows based devices, and anything that supports SNMP or SSH (-ish), it will give you more detailed information and alert you to certain bits of software, low disk space etc.

It's very useful, and free, so I thought it deserved a mention.

Take a look: www.spiceworks.com

If anyone else is using it, I'd be interested to find out what they think about the SSH side of things (which is a little patchy)
