Hello!
Here's the problem...
I have an AMD PC running Windows XP. I was using Firefox, and suddenly the screen went completely white and I couldn't do anything. So I re-started the computer. Then it happened again.
Later, I was using some audio sequencing software, and the same thing happened, except that instead of going completely white, the screen went stripy. And again, the same thing happened when I was using Windows Media Player.
I think that the colour of the screen when it freezes, loosely comprises the main colours that are on the screen at the time, when it happens.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, and will be rewarded with sweeties!
Cheers in advance.

Please check your Event Viewer for errors around the time that this happened (particularly in the System and Application log files) and let us know what you find.
To do this, go to Start...Run...and type in "eventvwr.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter.

Nothing suggested here but the obvious...check your graphics card for placement, overheating...maybe just remove and reinstall it.
If you have a graphics chip, rather than a physical card, check Event Viewer for possible error messages relating to it. Maybe uninstall/reinstall drivers. Maybe try updated drivers.
Also check the entire system for possible overheating, make sure all fans are turning, check CPU temp in BIOS. Clean system with canned air.
