Fuse Or Breaker Blown?

Fuse Or Breaker Blown? Computer won't power up.

I have an older HP Pavilion XT868 SYS #P3974A Windows ME
I have switched over to a newer computer and keep the old one around to retrieve the occasional file from the past that I might need. I turned it on a little while ago and it powered up for a few seconds and went dead.
The little green led in the back isn't burning either. Is there a fuse or reset somewhere in these things? I pulled the side panel and nothing jumped out at me! :thumbsup:

My power strip shows power and I tried plugging directly into the outlet too.

It's possible that the power supply or Motherboard is going dead.

If either is the case, then you may want to get an External Hard drive case for the HDD in that old machine
and connect it to the new machine. Then you can typically get rid of the old computer unless you have multiple
peaces of hardware that are worth saving or multiple harddrives.

Try resetting the on/off switch on the power supply?

To clarify: you will need an enclosure. You put your hard drive in the enclosure and connect it to USB port. Once connected, you can view/retrieve files and folders. It's also a good back-up tool.

Here's a nice "tap" that I use. It's worked so well that the boss at work bought 2 of them for us to use.

If I went with the "cool gear" adapter, How would I find my E-mail's. I can never find e-mails in a file search!!!
