When I try to update some programs (for example the RealOne program and Norton Live Update) I get a message that I am not connected - but I know I am connected. Is this a firewall problem? I don't know where to check for settings problems. Also I have had a couple of Active X messages - didn't write them down and now of course I can't reproduce. Can anyone help me check the correct settings?

Hi mkay

Click start Control panel - internet options
click internet click custom level

Download signed ActiveX controls click to prompt
same thing with the other two

and set it to medium

If that doesn't work then it maybe a firewall issue

If this continues, please post the exact error messages you are getting.
