Sometimes when I hit a link I get to the page I want. Other times there is a long delay and then I get a box that says: "www.whatever cannot be found. Check name and try again". On the 2nd or 3rd try I might get through or I might not. There does not seem to be a pattern to what sites I have a problem with. Once in a while I can't even delete an email in my inbox without it saying that "yahoo cannot be found". It happens with both IE and Firefox. I have run multiple spyware and virus programs and found nothing. I'm running XP SP2. Someone said it might be a problem at the ISP. Any thoughts? Thank you. |

Open Internet Explorer. When it is open click on Tools and then Internet Options. Then click on the Connections tab and then press the Lan Settings button. Do you have it set to use a proxy server?

AMB -
I'd call your ISP company to be sure. Even if the problem isn't on their end, they can go step by step with you to fix the problem. Take advantage of them. You pay for their services. They can get your PC back to normal. -------------------- |
