When I try to connect or someone to me to play empire earth multiplayer over the network or the internet when he hits or I hit join by IP it says cant connect because he may have a firewall.

Neither one of us has a firewall what is this about?
Thanks

Do either of you have a router (linksys or something like that) as those have built in firewalls as well

It may be the game settings, even though the error does not indicate it. I have Emailed some ideas to you this evening, CGM. And be sure you are both playing the same version!
Cheers,
John
