-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi, I have a Win XP Pro PC. Office 2000 Pro is installed. I have configured a Mail profile on this computer. We use .pst files (personal folder) for our email. I have tried uninstalling and then reinstalling Office 200 Pro, but when I close Outlook - the actual screen closes but Outlook does not close from the Processes tab in Task Manager for some reason. I have tried creating a new mail profile with the same .pst file, but that did not work either. I ran scanpst.exe to repair the PST file, but there were only some minor inconsistentcies. Outlook still hangs for some unknown reason. So, I went ahead and created a new .pst file and getting rid of the old .pst file, and again Outlook hangs when closed. At this point, I am thinking that it has something to do with Win XP Pro itself because I think I have exhausted all other options. Does anyone have any other ideas I can try to resolve this problem? Thanks jagil |

Try opening and closing Outlook in Safemode. If it works OK, you probably have a corrupt add-on installed.
