Two programs caught my attention: One shows up in the Add/Remove list as "Remote Entry System" and I can't find any direct reference to it (I'm probably just not doing the right thing in Search here, because the results show a large number of threads with "remote" OR "entry" OR "system" - I've been used to enclosing phrases in quotes to get the exact phrase, but that doesn't seem to work... and your friend, google, shows el zippo on the phrase... except for vehicle entry systems. Does anyone have a pointer on this thing? I do have VNC and LogMeIn on this computer, so it occurred to me it might be from them, but... I dunno. The other calls itself (in the Add/Remove) Yahoo! Messenger Explorer Bar... but it ignores the change/remove button, so I'm guessing something has happened to it - whatever, I don't particularly want it (for one thing I almost NEVER us IE unless it's absolutely necessary) and I'd like to 86 it. |

VNC stands for Virtual Network Computing. It is remote control software which allows you to view and fully interact with one computer desktop (the "VNC server") using a simple program (the "VNC viewer") on another computer desktop anywhere on the Internet. For the toolbar I've 2 suggestios. A) re-install then un -install How do I remove Yahoo! Toolbar for Internet Explorer? How do I remove Yahoo! On that you will need to not be connected to the internet and it will have to be uninstalled via the safe mode.
