Very Slow Connection With Ie7

I downloaded IE7 like a week or so ago and it slowed down a lot the time it takes to upload a page and just browse online.
Also it slowed down how fast i get my emails on the Outlook. but i am not sure if that's related.
Can anyone please help? Is it just my computer or the new IE7?

My experience with IE7 is that it loads and browses much more slowly than IE6 did, especially when the anti-phishing tool is in action.

I have never used Outlook, so I don't know if that is related or not.
