Hello,

I recently had a problem with a browser hijack and had to increase my anti-virus and anti-spyware protection, plus add firewall. In the meantime my webcam audio (MSN Messenger 6.2) has stopped working. do you know a way that I can keep my security tight plus also use audio?

Thanks
Susan

Hi,
I'm using Sygate personal firewall. I disabled it and was able to do audio again. I assume I need to keep it disabled only when using webcam!

Thanks Grinler & John..

MSN messenger uses random ports. It uses UPNP to talk to a hardware firewall/router. Don't know if UPNP applies to a software fiewall or not, but see if the Sygate firewall offer the option to enable UPNP.
