When I use the reply function in Outlook 2000 the original email is deleted. Can anyone point me in the right direction to stop this?
As I'm new to this site my apologies if this is the wrong area, I can take a telling off but be gentle!

Grinler,
Thanks for the reply however, I don't think I made very clear what is happening. Usually I receive an email, click on the reply button and when finished click send. The original email is shown in my inbox with a red return arrow at the bottom right hand corner of the envelope icon and remains in my inbox. In the case I am querying this does not happen the original email is deleted never to be seen again!

So your saying when you reply to an email it actually deletes the email from your inbox?

Exactly. And I cannot find anything in any options or other settings that resembles this at all.

Are these meeting requests or rregular emails? I see an option for deleting meeting requests on a reply, but other than that i do not see anything either.
Also change your sort order by date and see if that fixes the problem.

Grinler,
They are regular e-mails and they are not in the inbox - or any other folder!

Went through the motions and all now works. Wish I knew what it was! Thanks again.
