Hello,
There is a way! But I need to know what version of windows you are using to give you good direction.
Simple directions,
  • on the computer connected to the INTERNET
  • click the start button
  • select control panel
  • select network connections
  • select set up a network
  • this will start the network set up wizard
  • when the wizard ask what kind of network you want to set up select other computers connect to the INTERNET through this one
  • follow the wizard instruction
This is some times called an "ad hoc" network. Please go here to learn how to set this up.
Thank you.

i've run the wizard on the desktop computer and im not sure what happened but it changed some settings and instead of accessing my broadband connection, the computer is asking for a dial-up connection

I am sorry that I forgot to tell you, you want to tell the computer to never dial a connection
  • open control panel
  • open INTERNET options
  • select connections
  • check the box that says never dial a connection
You may have to run the wizard again and tell it you connect by?????

Does this work if you are running vista and XP? Thing is that my mom sold my wireless internet adapter before I received my new computer and I am stuck on what I should do.
