QUOTE MSN Messenger was the instant messaging client of choice for hackers, thieves and many types of malware in 2007. The IM client received 45 percent of all malware threats -- more than double the amount any other service received...Yahoo received 20 percent, AOL Instant Messenger received 19 percent, and all other IM networks received 15 percent combined. The lack of security features coupled with the fact that IM programs are almost always running in the background of a computer make them extremely dangerous... rcpmag.com/news -------------------- "THE BAD GUYS DON'T NEED A SEARCH WARRANT. Thank you for the warning.
I just installed a web cam so that I can see my family once in a while. By default it uses live messenger but all the extra programs that are bundled with it realy bothered me. (The pop ups get on my nerves). I am now looking for a way to use the web cam with out using live messenger, any suggestions? -------------------- The hippiefreakcomputergeek

You could just try Windows Messenger. That would be a little less vulnerable I suppose.
And I think Trillian supports web cams (not sure never tried it) This post has been edited by Teenage.Zombiee: Jan 15 2008, 09:40 AM -------------------- "People die of disease and accident. Death comes suddenly and there is no notion of good or bad. It leaves, not a dramatic feeling but great emptiness. When you lose someone you loved very much you feel this big empty space and think, 'If I had known this was coming I would have done things differently.' These are the feelings I wanted to arouse in the players with Aerith's death relatively early in the game. Feelings of reality and not Hollywood." - Yoshinori Kitase |
